St. Vincent Ferrer

Church of Santa Corona, Vicenza, Italy

As usual, Vincent wears a Dominican habit and points to Heaven. His locks are shaped in imitation of the flames that are often used as an attribute in his images. The boy holds a banderol with the saint's motto, TIMETE DEUM, ("Fear God").

This is one of a collection of statues of Dominican saints in a small chapel off the sacristy at Santa Corona.
